When designing the layout of a healthcare setting, there are many factors that need to be considered.Did you know that furniture can have an major impact on a patients health?

Factors such as comfort, flexibility, cleanliness and durability also play a large role in the healthcare setting decisions. Furniture that can withstand the rigors of heavy-use environments but also feature clean, timeless designs that will remain relevant for years to come is important.

Color, light, design and layout can have a profound effect on a patient's health and well-being. Furniture is not only about utility but functionality.  How do the aesthetics and ergonomic features make a patient feel?

Waiting rooms and lobby areas should be approachable and welcoming to help reduce stress affiliated with hospital visits. Lighting should be bright and uniform, but not overwhelming  and not so unevenly dispersed as to avoid shadows. Upholstery should be sustainable and calming. Avoiding vibrant colors like reds and pinks will disperse any negativity and unwanted emotions.

These are just a few things to consider when designing a healthcare setting. Our solutions at Interior Resources are strategically crafted to offer durable, comfortable, clean, safe and secure designs to those using them.
